Commission Colleagues-
Thank you so much for your participation in our National Day of Service and Remembrance conference calls. The enthusiasm out in the states is evident. We look forward to working closely with you over the next two weeks to set a precedent of commemorating 9/11 with service that will last for years to come.
Below are the resources that we promised to distribute.
- 9/11 media advisory, press release, and talking points: http://www.serve.gov/spread.asp
- 9/11 page on Serve.gov: http://www.serve.gov/sept11.asp
- United We Serve and 9/11 specific graphics: http://www.serve.gov/link.asp
- To access a recording of Wednesday’s call, dial 800-857-0884. You will be prompted to state your name and organization and the call will replay in its entirety. If no one from your state was able to be on one of the calls, please listen to the recording at your earliest convenience.
- Follow the link to the Google form referenced on the call. This is what needs to be filled out by the end of the day on Monday. Please note that if you have the option to tell us that you need help identifying an event. http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dFdhZDlMWldqOXhGWGdNbDNoaDJmTUE6MA
- Also attached is a letter from the President and First Lady encouraging people to serve. Feel free to pass it along to anyone who may be interested.
We will continue to disseminate information and materials as we get them. If we are helping you identify an event, you should expect to hear from a member of the United We Serve team early next week.
In the meantime, thank you for your participation in what will be a historic and memorable day,
