The community problem is insufficient low income, environmentally responsible housing in Butte County. Habitat for Humanity of Butte County (HFHBC) will address this problem by hiring an AmeriCorps Construction Manager to lead a Renovation Team and also build new LEED Certified homes. The project will transition low and very low income families into these homes. This program also includes youth training, energy audits, and financial literacy training for the targeted populations.
