Antioch University – a not-for-profit, mission-driven institution of higher learning – offers an educational experience unique in the history of progressive education in America. The first institution of higher education to admit women, people of color, and Native Americans on an equal basis starting in 1852, Antioch's founding President, Horace Mann, started the first public schools in this country. His proclamation, “Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity,” is the cornerstone of the Antioch University experience. Our fully online programs now provide access to this progressive education to qualifying students anywhere, anytime.
