Undergraduate Awards

Evergreen State College offers up to five $1,800 awards to new and currently enrolled undergraduate students attending full time who have completed one year of full-time service with the AmeriCorps Program. Students may receive this award for up to two academic years, but must reapply each year. The application deadline is February 1st.

 The application consists of:

  • A letter of application addressing your commitment to community service and how AmeriCorps and the Education Award have impacted your desire to attend college.
  • One letter of recommendation, preferably from an AmeriCorps program supervisor, supporting your application.
  • Verification of the completion of one year of full-time service with AmeriCorps Programs. Examples of evidence include a copy of your AmeriCorps Education Award voucher or a signed letter from a program supervisor. 

Graduate Awards

The Evergreen State College offers three graduate degrees: Master in Teaching, Master of Public Administration, and Master of Environmental Studies. Each program offers application fee waivers and scholarships to AmeriCorps alumni; awards are up to one quarter of resident tuition for up to two years.  Please contact the individual programs for more information:
