A graphic: "What does AmeriCorps know about..." and four concentric circles that represent the four domains where AmeriCorps seeks to make impact. From the outermost to the innermost, each circle says: Society, referring to national service, volunteering, and civic engagement in our society; Communities, referring to individuals, groups or communities that experience AmeriCorps-funded services; Partners, referring to AmeriCorps' grantees or sponsor organizations; Participants, referring to individuals.

AmeriCorps strives to make a lasting impact on its participants, partners, partners, communities served, and the civic health of society as it fosters the powerful synergies between these interconnected domains.

Each of these domains can be defined as:

Participants: The individuals who join AmeriCorps as members and volunteers to serve local communities through AmeriCorps programs.

Partners: AmeriCorps grantees and sponsoring organizations receiving AmeriCorps program funding to implement service projects.

Communities: The individuals, groups, and local areas that experience services from AmeriCorps-funded grantees or sponsors delivered by AmeriCorps members and volunteers.

Society: National service, volunteering, and civic engagement in the United States.
